Wood Fired Pizza Chef

Il Forno Pizza is looking for qualified applicants for our Wood-fired Pizza Chef position. Experience working a wood fired oven is preferred.

Il Forno is the BEST wood-fired pizza restaurant in south Texas, with a focus on local produce and regenerative practices.

This is a job that will provide experience working with an ever changing seasonal menu.

If hired, you will learn to cook with a living, breathing entity. FIRE!

Qualified applicants should posses basic knife skills, be able to follow given directions as assigned, and have a minimum of one year experience in a fast paced scratch kitchen.

Hours per week:

30-35

Job Duties:

• Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
• Follow recipes and presentation specifications
• Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
• Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
• Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift
• Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

Pay Frequency: Bi weekly

Salary: Starting at $15.00 /hour
