Title: Java Developer
Location: SpringFiled, MA (Hybrid)
Term: 6+ Months Contract
Job Description:
Duties: We’re looking for Technical Delivery Lead with Java Development experience and proven experience of coordinating development teams towards building end to end applications
Responsibilities:
Works closely with Business leads, QA leads and technical stakeholders Operates independently on multiple project tasks Participates in all phases of project planning, execution and testing Produces application artifacts per SDLC, Agile and DevOps audit requirements Implements high-quality, cost-effective and sustainable solutions. Meet today’s needs with the potential to scale or adapt to the needs of the future/new emerging technologies. Writes code in Java using the Spring framework with Spring Boot Builds web services, microservices, and APIs as Spring Boot applications Participates in code reviews and manages deployments to Kubernetes (on AWS EKS) via CI/CD Off Hours support?
Requirements:
10+ years of software engineering/development experience Able to work independently and in small to medium size groups of other developers
Proficiency with Java, including Spring / Spring Boot Experience using Maven, POM files, dependency management, etc.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) Experience building web services / microservices / APIs
Experience with JavaScript framework Working knowledge of CI/CD practices Experience with Atlassian suite, mainly JIRA and Confluence
Significant experience with various AGILE methodologies, and exposure to DevOps Legacy tech stack: Struts 2, JSP, JavaScript with AJAX, HTML, XML, Java 6, IBM DB2
Preferred
Experience designing and leading the development of one or more complex investment management data solutions.
Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and general web service / microservice security best practices.
Experienced using DevOps to develop and migrate application code to production.
Hands on experience on Okta integration
Experience working in a large corporate environment with strong knowledge of SDLC, development patterns, and best practices
Candidate Competencies Ability to apply technical and business knowledge across multiple business functions.
Ability to work in close collaboration with stakeholders, project/program managers, business analysts, business users, developers, and testers to optimize the quality of the developed product.
Skilled in interacting with both onshore and offshore team members.
Ability to effectively capture development tasks and estimate the time to complete the tasks.
Ability to communicate clearly and to simplify complex topics for a wide range of audiences (both written and verbal)
Ability to work through complex issues and develop solutions, in time-critical situations.
Ability to develop a strong understanding of business processes and functional requirements and the skill to be able to translate those requirements into succinct functional / technical design specifications and development tasks in JIRA with subsequent unit test creation and execution to successfully meet acceptance criteria and documenting the results while providing close oversight of specifications and results.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and platforms. Ability to adhere to project schedules and meet deadlines in the execution of job responsibilities.
