Position Description:

This position includes a mix of solution-focused consultation, problem-solving, and scheduling for both residential and commercial customers.

After your paid initial training period is complete, you will support new and existing clients using a variety of communication tools such as phone, email, and chat to recommend services, schedule service visits, provide billing support, and perform additional internal office tasks as required.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Use the phone and email to interact with existing and potential customers to provide information, advise on service options, create/update client records, schedule service requests, process transactions, discuss billing and payment options, and record client interactions.
  • Adhere to company expectations to deliver superior client experiences by phone, email, or chat.
  • Describe optimal programming and pricing options to meet customer needs and schedule service visits based on company standards.
  • Resolve issues concerning payment and/or invoicing.
  • Provide additional administrative support to office operations as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in a call center or office-based setting with an emphasis on customer support activities
  • Ability to quickly understand customer inquiries and help resolve issues and requests
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to use correct grammar and spelling
  • Ability to effectively communicate on the phone and through email/text in a professional and efficient manner
  • Strong listening skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Capability to complete one task and quickly switch to another
  • Ability to read, write, clearly speak and understand English
  • Have a stable work history, a high school diploma or equivalent, and must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Cross-train on other duties and perform backup duties as required
  • May be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19, become vaccinated, or receive approval for a medical or religious-based exemption
  • Capable of working in a team environment and developing positive relationships with internal and external clients
  • 40+ WPM keyboarding
  • Available to work M-F during the hours of 9:00-5:30. Some overtime will be required in the summer months including occasional Saturdays from May - October
  • Favorable drug test and acceptable background record are also required

Preferred Requirements:

  • Previous experience in billing or collections is preferred but not required

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Communicates through telephone conversations, email, text and face-to-face interactions
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
  • Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching
  • Read printed materials and a computer screen
  • Stamina needed to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions
  • Must possess the mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment including a computer, keyboard, and telephone
