Inventory Supervisor

Current Need

We are seeking an Inventory Supervisor to join our team in Louisville, KY.

Position Description
Creates a strong culture of employee engagement, positivity, safety, and customer focus. Oversees team of inventory or warehouse employees. Maintains oversight of inventory control processes. Manages, trains, and develops team members through coaching, mentoring and strong interpersonal communication. Leads and supports continuous improvement initiatives within the department and across functions. Manages daily work activities to accomplish high productivity and develop key performance indicators to drive desired results and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages activities of a team that range from routine to moderately complex.
• Typically, does not spend more than 10% of time performing the same work as those supervised.
• Would usually have 1 or more of the following responsibilities: hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and/or pay reviews.
• Leading team towards strong engagement and customer focus.

Minimum Requirements:

• Prior distribution and/or inventory experience.
• Flexibility with scheduling needs.
• SAP or other WMS experience.

Critical Skills:

• Leadership skills.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of inventory policies, and practices and systems
• Leadership and interpersonal
• Attention to detail

Education

• 4-year degree or related experience

Physical Requirements

• General office and warehouse demand

Must be willing to work various hours in an operational warehouse.
