What You'll Do
As an Orthopedic Medical Assistant at OrthoAtlanta, you'll:
  • Guiding Patients: Escort patients to exam rooms, assist with dressing/undressing, and ensure comfort and privacy
  • Gathering Information: Accurately review patient registration details, collect necessary forms, and complete EMR intake documentation
  • Coordinating Care: Prepare surgical orders, schedule lab tests and diagnostic procedures, obtain test results, and manage medical clearances for surgeries
  • Communication and Follow-Up: Manage patient callbacks regarding messages, prescriptions, and referrals; monitor and respond to physician queues
  • DME Support: Demonstrate proper fitting and usage of durable medical equipment (DME) like braces and soft goods when needed

What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Certified Ortho Tech program (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ year of medical office experience preferred
  • Experience with electronic medical records systems (Epic preferred)
  • Positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of professionalism and patient confidentiality
