Clinical Assistant / Physician Extender:
- Medical School Graduate (U.S. or International).
- Neurology & Rehabilitation Practice.
- Start Date: August 1, 2026.
Neuro-Diagnostics Medical, P.C. is seeking motivated medical school graduates to join our outpatient neurology and rehabilitation practice as Clinical Assistants / Physician Extenders.
This is a Part-time/full-time clinical position designed for medical graduates planning to apply to residency programs and seeking meaningful clinical experience beforehand.
Clinical assistants work directly with attending physician in the evaluation and management of patients with neurological, spine, and musculoskeletal conditions.
The environment is fast-paced and documentation intensive, and candidates must be comfortable managing 20-25 patient encounters per day while completing accurate medical documentation.
This role is clinical work only and requires efficiency, strong communication skills, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the evaluation of 20-25 patients per day under physician supervision.
- Perform focused neurologic and musculoskeletal examinations.
- Complete all patient visit documentation the same day using the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Assist with review of imaging studies, laboratory results, and diagnostic testing.
- Support physicians with treatment planning and care coordination.
- Communicate professionally with patients, referring providers, and clinic staff.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a U.S. or international medical school.
- USMLE Step examinations strongly preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume outpatient clinical environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation.
- Legal authorization to work in New York State.
- Outpatient clinic schedule.
- Typical schedule: 4 to 6 days per week.
- Approximately 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM.
- Clinical work occurs across multiple outpatient (12) locations in the Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, and Staten Island.
- Compensation is provided as a daily clinical rate paid for days worked.
- The compensation offered is above the market average for comparable clinical assistant positions.
- No employment benefits are provided with this position.
- Compensation is strictly based on days worked.
- The position is specifically intended for medical graduates seeking substantial U.S. clinical experience prior to residency training.
Neuro-Diagnostics Medical, P.C. is a multi-site outpatient neurology and rehabilitation practice serving patients throughout the New York metropolitan region.
