Job Title: CT Scan Technologist

Location: Neptune, New Jersey

Shift Details:

  • Evening / Overnight Hybrid Shift
  • 4x10 Hour Shifts
  • Likely Schedule: 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM or 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM
  • Weekend Requirement: Yes
  • 1 Holiday Required
  • No On-Call
  • No Floating
Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced CT Scan Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Neptune, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in Trauma Level 1 and Stroke Center environments and be comfortable in a fast-paced radiology department.

The CT Technologist will perform advanced CT imaging procedures, assist with patient preparation, administer contrast media, maintain patient safety, and ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging for physician interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex CT scan procedures and imaging protocols
  • Review patient clinical history and document information accurately in PACS and EPIC
  • Prepare and screen patients for contrast imaging procedures
  • Administer contrast media as prescribed by licensed practitioners
  • Verify imaging orders and coordinate protocols with radiologists and physicians
  • Monitor patients during imaging procedures for adverse reactions or complications
  • Perform venipuncture, IV patency, and IV maintenance procedures
  • Ensure radiographic images meet diagnostic quality standards
  • Upload and manage outside imaging studies within PACS/EPIC systems
  • Educate patients regarding CT procedures and address patient concerns professionally
  • Follow departmental safety, infection control, and compliance standards
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of recent CT Technologist experience required
  • Trauma Level 1 and Stroke Center experience required
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
Required Certifications & Licensure
  • Active NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License
  • ARRT Certified R.T. (R) License
  • Current AHA BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • ARRT Certified R.T. (CT) preferred
  • Experience with EPIC, PACS, HIS/RIS systems preferred
  • 5+ years of CT experience preferred
