Job description

NW Employment is partnered with a local Irrigation Company in Tualatin and we are looking to add an Irrigation Technician to join our team.

Pay- $23-$25/HR DOE
Shift- Mon-Thur 7am-5pm

Job Description-
Provide preventative maintenance and efficient performance to quickly locate and repair broken pipes, sprinklers, etc. to reduce water loss and assure proper operating systems.
Adjust, reset, repair, or replace, irrigation pipes, controllers, and/or valves
Understand fluid dynamics as it relates to irrigation
Diagnose issues with electrical and/or water lines
Program, monitor, and adjust computer-controlled irrigation systems
Full knowledge and skill of primer and cement process
Manage an inventory of parts and time while performing job responsibilities
Compile and prepare necessary maps, reports, records, and job sheets
Strive to improve system efficiencies to conserve water usage
Load/unload trucks with materials and equipment
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in a clean, operable, and professional manner.
Keep job site, shop, and truck organized and tidy
Operate construction equipment including trenchers, geo-rippers, pipe threader, locating equipment, etc.
Work outdoors 100% of the time, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather
Expected working hours Mon-Thurs. 7:30-6:00 (30 min lunch break) ' hours will vary depending on factors

QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Driver's License (REQUIRED)
Clean driving record (REQUIRED)
Reliable transportation to/from work (REQUIRED)
Clear and legible handwriting
Strong understanding of sprinkler installation
Prepared for work in a timely fashion with weather appropriate clothing (sweatshirt, rain jacket, hat etc), lunch, water
Professional behavior and appearance
Experience driving trucks with and without trailers
Self-motivated and work alone as well as in a team on larger projects
Minimum 2+ years of experience working on irrigation systems
