Role Requirements

a. Oneyear as a Server in a Full Service Restaurant using Point of Sale platforms

b. Mustbe fluent in English

c. Mustbe a people-person, must be Nice, Respectful, a self-motivator, have a cheerfuldisposition, out-going, enthusiastic and be tolerant of close contact withother people

d. Ableto handle conflict in a professional manner

e. Musthave an "Of Service" Mind-Set

f. UnexpiredCalifornia Food Handlers Certification

g. Ableto Total bills, accept payment, accurately handle cash and credit cardtransactions

h. Compiledaily financial reports

PositionResponsibilities and tasks

• Know your work Schedule and be on time forevery shift

• Adhere to Uniform Standards (Correct, Clean,and Professional) at all times

• Understand, Value and Follow Safe WorkPractices at all times

• Learn Maria's Menu by heart

• Take accurate Guest Food Orders and inputorders into the POS correctly

• Coordinate entire station and communicate withfront and back-of-the-house personnel to provide a dining experience that meetsor exceeds guest expectations.

• Observe customers, in a timely manner, toensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond toadditional requests and determine when the meal has been completed

• Assist bus person with stocking and removingdishes and silverware between courses (Pre-Bussing) and cleaning andresetting vacated tables

• Provide a favorable image of Maria's ItalianKitchen at all times and to promote our objectives and enhance publicrecognition of our areas of endeavor

• Present, open, and pour wine when servingguests

• Assist and support Co-Workers during theshift. Teamwork, Teamwork, Teamwork.

• Assist and support other departments when timeallows

• Maintain all work areas during the shift(Stocking, Cleanliness, etc...)

• Complete Side-work thoroughly and in a timelymanner with minimal supervision

• Follow all Meal and Rest Break Requirements

• Take direction from Management and Supervisorsduring your shift

• Other duties as assigned

Typical workingconditions

• Predominantly standing and walking
• Repeat the same physical activities, such as but not limited to serving Food and Beverages
• Respond quickly in a demanding environment while staying Calm and Professional
• Close contact with other people
• Work indoors, but may work in outdoor serving areas
• Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting (approximately up to 30 lbs)- Ask For Help!
