Job Summary:
The Transfer Driver is responsible for safely transporting company vehicles to and from various locations, including other dealerships, vehicle auctions, and customer residences or workplaces. This role plays a vital part in the day-to-day logistics of the dealership, ensuring that vehicles are moved efficiently and professionally. In some cases, the Transfer Driver may be required to present documents to customers and witness signatures related to vehicle purchases or deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate company vehicles within all legal speed limits and traffic regulations at all times.
Pick up and deliver vehicles to and from auctions, other dealerships, service centers, and customer locations.
Ensure timely and accurate vehicle deliveries and pickups while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Inspect vehicles after and after transport to identify and report any damage or maintenance concerns.
Occasionally assist with customer documentation by presenting forms and witnessing signatures when required.
Maintain communication with dealership staff regarding scheduling, delays, or issues during transport.
Uphold the company's commitment to world-class customer service in every interaction.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old.
High school diploma or GED required.
Possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to drive both automatic and manual (standard transmission) vehicles is required.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Flexible availability, including occasional weekends or extended hours depending on delivery needs.
