What you will be doing:
  • Checking body welding tooling and part accuracy using Vectorarm, Perceptron, & FARO portable CMM equipment.
  • Gather part information from Digital Engineering systems, i.e., PolyWorks, Catia and 3D imaging software.
  • Checking part quality using hand tools and quality checking fixtures.
  • Support Sheetmetal Sub-assy. and Body build trials and activities during pre-production events.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, parts, and part fitting.
  • Analyze part and sub-assembly data and provide feedback to project leader(s).
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
  • 2-5 Years Automotive/ Aerospace Quality Metrology experience (Sheet-metal QA).
  • Capable of using portable CMM equipment, Scanners, Laser Trackers. (FARO, Vectorarm, Leica, Creaform).
  • Experience with 3D comparison softwares like PolyWorks, Cam 2, Scene, PC DMIS.
  • Strong mechanical ability. Small hand tools for adjusting / modifying part datums.
  • Strong Computer skills, including: MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Able to create and maintain schedules.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, and overtime.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle medium to heavy physical work.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust to changes that may occur daily.
  • Be a self-starter and self-motivated to continuously improve skills and new tech.
