Required Qualifications:

• MD/DO degree
• Board-certified or eligible for certification in neurology
• Experience in teaching and supervising medical students and resident physicians
• Proficient in English, licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Kansas.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to develop didactic and case-based presentations to medical students and resident physicians.
• Ability to supervise medical students and resident physicians in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings

Job Duties Outlined:

• Administration of the neurology required clerkship.
• Assist in neurology curriculum development for medical students and resident
  physicians.
• Participate on neurology inpatient service, consult service and ambulatory
  consultation.
• Supervise, monitor and evaluate medical students assigned to the neurology
  rotation.
• Communicate effectively with the appropriate clerkship directors and residency program directors regarding educational issues including student performance
• Provide effective feedback to medical students and resident physicians.
  Participate in on-call coverage.
• Develop a high-quality neurology clinical practice through the KUSM-W Medical
  Practice Association.
• Maintain appropriate standards and CME credit as required for licensure in the
  State of Kansas.
• Regularly attend and participate in departmental, university and hospital
  committees as assigned.
  Demonstrate self-direction, life-long learning including development of a
  professional growth plan.
• Engage in scholarly activity.
