RN Operating Room

Location: Shelby, OH

Shift: Day

Time: Monday-Friday 07:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Duration: 12 weeks Desired Start Date: ASAP Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs

Job Description
  • Perioperative RN (scrub and circulating) (1 needed).
  • Call 14 days per month, staff is presently doing one week of call at a time.
Minimal Requirements
  • 2 years of experience plus travel.
  • 5+ years for first time travel candidates
  • BLS
  • Shelby Hospital is a 25-bed critical access site that performs 1,600 surgeries per year on average.
  • We have 3 OR suites with one being utilized for endoscopy.
  • Surgeries include: general surgery (lap chole, hernia, bowel resection, etc.), podiatry, some ortho, obstetrics (hysters, hysteroscopies, laparoscopies, c-sections), ENT, and an occasional pain pump. OR nurses also assist with C-section on occasion.
  • Desirable candidates will be able and willing to scrub and circulate.
  • Scrubs provided by department daily.
  • EMR is EPIC.
  • Census may require float to Mansfield Hospital OR (10 suites) or Mansfield Surgery Center (2 suites, 2 endo).
