Key Responsibilities:
- Capture high-quality photos and engaging video content during EMDH events and special initiatives using DSLR camera and other relevant equipment
- Edit photos and videos for use in various media formats using Adobe CC
- Assist in the production of various video projects, including storyboarding and concepts as well as setup, lighting, and audio on shoot days
- Archive and catalog photo and video to support future projects and campaigns
- Collaborate with graphic design and social media team members to create visual assets that align with EMDH's branding and storytelling goals
- Uphold the graphic standards set by the University, the Division of Student Affairs, and Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Rate$15.25/hour
Required Qualifications- Creativity and ability to produce visual content that aligns with EMDH's storytelling goals
- Proficiency in photography and videography, including experience using EMDH's DSLR cameras and editing software in the Adobe Suite (Camera Raw, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices for creating visually engaging content
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and accept feedback as well as work closely with others on the team
- Strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to multi-task, organize, and pay close attention to detail
- Effective time management skills, with an emphasis on punctuality and reliability
- Currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at Illinois State University, maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0. Candidates must be in academic and judicial good standing
- Availability to work 5 - 10 hours per week, Monday - Friday, as well as occasional events on weekends.
- Major in a related field (Studio Arts: Photography or Video, Graphic Design, Marketing, etc.)
- Priority given to candidates with multi-semester and/or summer 2026 availability

Illinois State University, as your employer, is required by federal law to ensure proper tax withholding from wages and to ensure that the required reporting of employee wages, withholding, and employment taxes is accurate. Failure to comply with this law may result in cancellation of your appointment.
Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held.
International students are restricted by their visa status to no more than 20 hours per week of on-campus employment when the university is in session but may work more when the university is not in session. International students should contact the Office of International Studies and Programs for guidance if they have questions concerning employment restrictions.
