Job Summary

 

 

Responsible for providing leadership and consultative advisory solutions pertaining to service line specialty within HealthTrust’s Medical Device Management Team. The Clinical Director will collaborate with clients by developing strategies for value-based approaches related to their clinically sensitive implants and related service lines (orthopaedics). This role will be responsible for the identification of actionable cost saving opportunities, analytic evaluation of clinical and financial data, development of strategic roadmaps, hospital leadership engagement, physician engagement and medical device market reporting for service line strategies.

Key Responsibilities

•            Leadership of service line for the medical device management team (orthopaedics)

•            Development of strategic and tactical guidance plans to deliver service-line specific cost-savings to HealthTrust members

•            Promotes strong client relationship management to improve client satisfaction and support HealthTrust objectives

•            Works seamlessly to provide educational and consultative services to contract directors and financial analysts across contracting teams and internal HealthTrust departments

•            Participates in regular meetings with hospital and corporate leadership and physicians to discuss opportunities, strategic roadmaps and value-delivery tracking

•            Clinical product categorization and cross-referencing (orthopaedics)

•            Cross-functional product and consulting offering development

•            Research and remain up to date on technologies and trends in area of expertise (orthopaedics)

•            Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”

 

Duties (included but not limited to)

•            Retrieves, reviews, processes, and analyzes demographic, clinical and financial data provided by clients to identify unnecessary clinical and cost variation and solutions (service line specific)

•            Identifies new technology trends, understands service needs related to implants and instrumentation

•            Development of client facing presentations, reporting and strategic roadmaps

•            Assist Custom Contract Directors in performing clinical ad hoc analytics for potential and current clients

•            Assist Custom Contract Directors with clinical product categorization and cross-referencing

•            Assist Clinical and Financial Data Analysts in performing ad hoc analytics for potential and current clients

•            Assist Clinical and Financial Data Analysts to continuously improve dashboards and customer facing tools

•            Prepare and presents final client assessments to respective client and leadership

•            Assist Clinical Data Analysts in organizing, documenting and testing requirements for clinical/cost analytics

•            Engage current Physician Advisors in service-line specific projects

 

 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

•            In-depth orthopaedic product, procedure and service line knowledge

•            Strong organizational, process analysis and problem solving/avoiding skills

•            Excellent presentation and communication skills are essential at all levels within HealthTrust, physician groups and member health systems.

•            Proficiency in multiple technologies including but not limited to Microsoft Office, PowerBI, and other dashboard/analytical tools

•            Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects within deadlines

•            Proven ability to work in a team environment or independently as needed

•            Possesses developed interpersonal skills to work in a high profile and fast paced team environment

 

Education

•            Bachelor’s degree required

•            Master’s degree preferred

Experience

•            7+ years of healthcare experience required

•            4+ years of healthcare experience, specifically related to medical device service line expertise

•            Strong understanding of supply chain, hospital and healthcare consumerism (value-based payment models, provider and physician challenges etc.), and medical devices
