Job Summary:

Seeking a GME Program Director to lead the future Anesthesia residency program at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital​!
Responsibilities:
Candidates will participate in developing the curriculum, maintaining didactics, serving as a role model and mentor to our Anesthesiology residents, and assisting with administrative duties to include resident recruitment and involvement in clinical competency and program evaluation committees. In addition, taking initiative in quality improvement projects as well as research and scholarly activities.
Qualified Candidates/Opportunity Highlights:

  • The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years post-residency experience, 2 years of Core Faculty/GME teaching experience and evidence of ongoing involvement in scholarly activity, including peer-reviewed publications.
  • Anesthesia Care Team model of 10 Anesthesiologists and 28 CRNA’s; MDs do approximately 5% of their own cases.
  • Diverse mix of cases including Trauma, Thoracic, Open Heart, Structural Heart, Vascular/Endovascular, General, Ortho, OB/GYN, Neuro, ENT, Urology and Peds.
  • State-of-the-Art facility with a total of 13 operating rooms, with 2 of those being used for open heart surgery; 2 OB (Level III NICU); Level II Trauma. Annual surgical volume - 11,500 cases.
  • MD or DO licensure from an accredited institution and ABA board eligibility/certification required.
  • Must be able to obtain an unrestricted medical license and DEA from the state of Florida prior to employment.
