QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Average reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.

2. 1 year minimum of food and beverage experience.

3. Able to work the Graveyard (10PM to 6AM) shift.

4. Able to work well unsupervised.

5. Computer skills helpful but not required.

JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.

2. The ability to offer guests an enjoyable and expertly served dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence, food quality, professionalism and friendliness equal to that of the finest restaurant in the city.

3. The ability to follow the established procedures to ensure correct and efficient ordertaking while providing courteous and helpful information on the telephone.

4. The ability to use the guest's name at least three times during each conversation.

5. The ability to offer quick, correct, precise and friendly service that is respectful and accommodating of the guest's requests of selections and timeliness of service.

6. The ability to coordinate with the kitchen for smooth service.

7. The ability to make the guest feel comfortable and at ease in his/her room.

8. The ability to control the cleanliness in the room service areas.

9. The ability to keep accurate control of guest checks, credit vouchers, currency and posting procedures.

10. The ability to record all guest charges, gratuities and cash transactions accurately.

11. The ability to maintain a Room Service control sheet so the Room Service Manager knows when an order was taken, delivered and retrieved and by whom.

12. The ability to inform the manager or assistant of all customer complaints and makes appropriate efforts to correct the problem.

13. The ability to set up orders on trays and tables and transport them to guest floors and rooms.

14. The ability to complete opening and closing sidework as assigned.

15. The ability to remove trays and tables from guest rooms when requested.

16. The ability to handle "Do Not Disturb" rooms, guest does not answer or the wrong items were delivered for forgotten.

17. The ability to set up the lobby coffee service.

18. The ability to handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.

19. The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Four Seasons Hotels.

20. The ability to sign out keys and retrieve opening reports and requisitions.

21. The ability to stock private bar carts, clipboard and uniform.

22. The ability to maneuvering private bar carts throughout the hotel keeping them neat and orderly.

23. The ability to replenish all items used from guest rooms and check-out rooms, compute charges and relay charges to the Front Office.

24. The ability to keep accurate pars of food and beverage items as well as non-food items (checks, menu cards, daily sales reports, swizzle sticks, etc.) in neat, clean and orderly storerooms.

25. The ability to clean private bars, private bar carts and storerooms.

26. The ability to stock and replenish ice for guest rooms.

27. The ability to respect the privacy of all guest rooms.

28. The ability to keep breakage of items to a minimum.

29. The ability to report any unusual incidents, persons or items found or seen on the guest floors.

30. The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

31. The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.

32. The ability to retrieve front desk reports regarding status of occupied and unoccupied rooms.

33. The ability to perform monthly inventory of all Private Bar items.

34. The ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees.

35. The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

36. The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
