This role provides site-level security delivery oversight for Team Base Camp venues that consist of the Hotel and Training Site that a participating national football team will occupy throughout FIFA World Cup 2026TM. Intended to be a home away from home, a Team Base Camp (TBC) refers to a team's headquarters where they stay and perform necessary functions to compete at the FIFA World Cup 2026TM.
Reporting organizationally to the Safety and Security Senior Manager - Non-Competition Sites, the Team Base Camp Specialist acts as the primary on-site FIFA security representative at Team Base Camps during tournament time.
The role focuses on site readiness, private security supervision, and operational assurance, ensuring that security services are delivered in accordance with approved FIFA standards, post orders, contractual obligations, and operational directives.
Site Readiness & Operational Assurance
Ensure assigned Team Base Camp sites are operationally ready for security delivery prior to and throughout tournament operations
Verify that private security personnel are correctly briefed, trained, and deployed in accordance with their assigned duties and post orders
Confirm that security infrastructure and equipment (access control points, barriers, CCTV, lighting, radios, signage, etc.) are installed (where applicable), functional, and appropriately configured
Conduct readiness checks and daily operational verifications at assigned Team Base Camp sites
Validate that access control arrangements and security zoning are implemented as approved
Liaise with site owners to ensure security measures are in place and that contracted services are delivered
Operational Delivery
Act as the on-site security focal point for assigned Team Base Camp sites during tournament-time operations, primarily when a Team is in residence
Oversee daily security operations, including access control, patrols, Team protection measures (where applicable), and response readiness
Monitor private security performance and address deficiencies in real time
Coordinate with hotel and training site management, logistics operators, transport teams, and other functional areas to ensure secure operations
Maintain situational awareness across assigned sites and adjust deployment as operational conditions evolve
Incident Management & SSOC Coordination
Monitor, document, and report all security incidents, issues, and near misses at assigned Team Base Camp sites
Initiate and support incident response in coordination with the Safety & Security Operations Center (SSOC) and Safety and FWC26TM Security Senior Manager
Provide timely and accurate situational updates through established reporting channels
Support post-incident reviews and corrective actions
Stakeholder Liaison
Serve as the primary security liaison with:
      oPrivate security providers
      oFIFA staff and functional area leads
      oHotel and Training Site management and site operators
      oLocal law enforcement and emergency services, as required
Ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities, and escalation pathways at site level
Maintain discretion and professionalism in environments involving FIFA staff, Teams, and sensitive operations
Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate records of daily operations, incidents, staffing levels, and resource usage
Submit daily operational reports and ad-hoc updates as required
Support compliance checks, audits, and performance validation processes
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field associated with safety, security and/or project management is a plus
All candidates must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
Must be available for duration of the Team's residence
Must be willing to work long hours and be on call 24/7 during the tournament.
Work Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in security operations, preferably in major events, hospitality, logistics, or VIP environments
Experience supervising or coordinating private security services
Familiarity with hotel security operations and transport/logistics environments
Strong understanding of access control, incident response, and operational security principles
Ability to work independently, manage multiple sites, and perform under pressure
Major event or international tournament experience is an advantage
Languages:
Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Technology:
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
