Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented HPLC / UPLC Analytical Chemist to support bioanalytical testing of protein and small molecule therapeutics. This role is ideal for candidates with strong chromatography experience who can operate independently while maintaining high standards in a regulated laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing of protein and small molecule therapeutics using chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques
- Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation including:
- RP-HPLC
- RP-UPLC
- UV-Vis spectroscopy
- Prepare samples, standards, and reagents for analysis with minimal supervision
- Execute routine testing and ensure accurate, compliant documentation of results
- Perform routine and monthly maintenance on analytical instrumentation
- Support laboratory organization and day-to-day operations
- Adhere to cGMP guidelines and maintain accurate records in LIMS
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related scientific field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-6 years of hands-on analytical chemistry experience with HPLC/UPLC
- Experience with chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred
- Experience with iCE (imaged capillary electrophoresis)
- Familiarity with CEX (cation exchange chromatography) or similar separation methods
- Experience with USP/EP compendial methods
Key Competencies
- Strong chromatography and analytical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced lab environment
- Excellent documentation and organization skills
- Understanding of cGMP and regulated laboratory practices
