Principal Purpose of Job: The Server is responsible for serving food and beverages to guests according to established sequence of service and to suggest dinner courses, appropriate wines and answer questions pertaining to food preparation of the menu.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Servers will present menus, suggest food courses (dinner)
• Servers will answers questions regarding preparation of food and gear the suggestions on dynamics of the table.
• Support and contribute to the mission and overall success of the resort by accomplishing performance objectives focused on up selling of food and beverage.
• Servers will be Ranch Ambassadors for the clients and be able to support Ranch-Wide knowledge to the clients.
• Servers will complete open and closing side work.
• Ensure Ranch Mission is executed.

Other Duties:

• Seating
• Taking reservations
• Making drinks
• Assisting in all outlets.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Personal Attributes:

• Hard working, courteous, able to work under minimal supervision
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Maintaining a well-groomed appearance ("having a plan")
• Practicing all safety & sanitation standards
• Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere
• Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and co-workers

Physical Demands:

• Performing duties which require bending & reaching
• Lifting Boxes, general cleaning, set up, walking a lot, etc.
• Lifting & transporting up to 50-pound
• Standing, for up to 8+ hours
• Walking a lot.

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED, 2-3 years experience serving in a fast paced restaurant.

Special Skills/Equipment: Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency.

The position you are being hired for is an all inclusive "Food & Beverage Staff" position. Although you are signing this Server job description, once validated, you may also be cross-trained in other areas such as Heck's or Ranch House Restaurant Back Server, Server, and Bartender positions. These positions may become rotated responsibilities and used as volume and/or staffing needs dictate.
