Corium is a privately-held commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company leading the development of new CNS healthcare products that provide clinicians with important treatment options for patients, caregivers and their families. 

We’re seeking a Neuro-Psych Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support the Gulf Coast region of the United States, with responsibility for developing and maintaining broad relationships with key stakeholders. This position will require good knowledge of relevant clinical guidelines and scientific publications, competitors' medical and marketing activities and the reimbursement environment, relevant to the use of new FDA approved treatments for ADHD and Alzheimer's Disease. Extensive knowledge and prior experience as an MSL, as well as a proven track record of success will be imperative for the Neuro-Psych MSL position. To thrive as our Neuro-Psych MSL, you must be able to successfully perform the required skills identified below and possess the required experience as outlined.

Required Skills
  • Identify, establish, and maintain scientific relationships with key opinion leaders regarding disease-state and product-specific information within assigned geography
  • Provide field-based scientific exchange and communication of FDA approved and pipeline products
  • Serve as primary liaison with investigators interested in developing and conducting investigator-initiated research
  • Educate payers (Health plans, Medicare, Medicaid), key decision makers (P&T committee members, opinion leaders, pharmacists), agents (specialty pharmacy, GPO, and PBMs); differentiate products based on clinical and economic data to support formulary decisions
  • Document and forward reports of adverse events according to Corium’s policy to ensure safe and effective use of Corium’s products
  • Attend regional and national congress meetings and provide support for Medical Affairs activities and scientific sessions
  • Generate and routinely communicate field medical insight
  • Stays current on market issues/trends and product knowledge in therapeutic areas that are relevant to Corium business.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and alignment with internal stakeholders including Commercial, Medical Affairs, Marketing and Clinical Development groups
  • Ensure compliant practices and adherence with all legal and regulatory requirements and Corium SOPs
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly impart technical information allied to good written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with a high level of sensitivity relative to the needs of patients and health care providers
  • Ability to develop/maintain an effective professional network
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound business judgment
  • Initiative and execution orientated with evidence of tenacity and perseverance
  • Ability and willingness to engage in frequent overnight travel
  • Strong ethics with good attention to detail and commitment to excellence

Required Experience
  • Previous MSL experience required (minimum of 2 years) – required
  • 5+ years relevant experience in pharmaceutical or related industry – required
  • Experience with Long Term Care - strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree – required
    • Advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD) – preferred
  • Proven track record of success – required
  • Experience making scientific presentations – required
  • Neuropsych (especially ADHD and/or Alzhieimer’s) experience – strongly preferred
  • Relationships with KOL’s in child/adult psychiatry and/or Alzheimer's – preferred
  • Experience with academic institutions, IHS, hospitals – preferred
  • Experience with clinical trials and patient recruitment – preferred
