Trading Infrastructure Support Lead (Linux/Python)

Location: Manhattan, NY or Montreal Canada - On-site 4 days a week

Salary: Open and will commensurate on experience.

Must have the following: Linux/Unix administration, global team leadership, trading or mission-critical infrastructure support, CI/CD and automation, networking fundamentals, incident management


Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a global 24x5 Trading Infrastructure Support team with weekend on-call rotation
  • Ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical trading systems and infrastructure
  • Define and implement support policies, processes, SLAs, and operational roadmaps
  • Partner with engineering and service teams to build automation, self-service tools, and runbooks
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and optimizing workflows
  • Lead major incident response and outage recovery efforts with a hands-on approach
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance technical capability and ownership
  • Coordinate cross-region technical efforts across APAC, EMEA, and AMER

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on Linux/Unix administration (RHEL, CentOS, or OEL preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience leading infrastructure or support teams
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD practices, including observability, orchestration, and containerization
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, multicast, tcpdump, PTP, NTP)
  • Familiarity with storage protocols such as NFS and GPFS (preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management experience in high-pressure environments
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • ITIL knowledge is a plus
