The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a User Experience Designer that will partner with product teams within Data Analytics & Digital Integration organization to deliver scalable enterprise products that align with business goals and user needs. This position is located in either Arlington, VA, Chicago, IL, Long Beach, CA, Mesa, AZ, Miami, FL, Ridley Park, PA, or Seattle, WA.
We are seeking a User Experience Designer to work on all stages of the UX design process across a portfolio of mission-critical platforms and applications.
Position Responsibilities:
- Work on all stages of the UX design process ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions.
- Participate in user-centered design activities, including creating journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design that effectively communicate design ideas.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in conducting usability tests, heuristic evaluations, and other reviews to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of designs.
- Diagnoses simple usability issues and recommends changes.
- Stay updated in industry trend, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Help maintain design system, page templates, and style guides that ensure consistency across products.
- Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners across different cultures and time-zones.

- Understanding of user-centered design
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design, Interaction Design, or equivocal years of experience
- 5+ years of experience in UX design
- 3+ years experience in Figma
- 5+ years experience with user research methodologies and usability testing
- 3+ years experience with responsive and mobile design
Preferred Qualifications:
- MFA or PhD Visual Communication Design, Interaction Design, or similar fields.
- Experience designing, developing, and leading business solutions that impact a company across organizations
- Experience is designing large scale software applications with 1000s of users.
- Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions and receive general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy of meeting objectives.
- Ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors.
- Experience working with and developing an enterprise design system.
- Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
- An online portfolio of case studies demonstrating strong visual design skills and user-centered design solutions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and articulate design decisions to stakeholders
