Journeyman Plumber/Pipefitter – Industrial amp; Commercial Projects
Location: Marion, Ohio
Salary Range: $37,500 – $78,000 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
Area Energy amp; Electric, Inc. is seeking a qualified Journeyman Plumber/Pipefitter to support mechanical and pipefitting installations for industrial and commercial clients. This full-time role involves hands-on work with large-scale systems and equipment in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain mechanical piping systems for industrial and commercial facilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, motors (up to 500hp), pumps, and electric pumping units
- Operate and maintain wastewater treatment and pumping plant equipment
- Perform physical and chemical tests for treatment plant control
- Monitor and record data from gauges, meters, and instruments
- Implement quality control procedures and respond to system malfunctions and emergencies
Qualifications
- 1–5 years of plumbing or pipefitting experience
- Valid Journeyman license
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong math skills (algebraic and geometric computations)
- Ability to read and interpret technical instruments and data
- Familiarity with safety protocols around high-voltage equipment and moving machinery
- Must complete OSHA 30 certification within 30 days of hire (company-funded)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Reliable, team-oriented, and self-motivated
