Journeyman Plumber/Pipefitter – Industrial amp; Commercial Projects

Location: Marion, Ohio
Salary Range: $37,500 – $78,000 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

Area Energy amp; Electric, Inc. is seeking a qualified Journeyman Plumber/Pipefitter to support mechanical and pipefitting installations for industrial and commercial clients. This full-time role involves hands-on work with large-scale systems and equipment in a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain mechanical piping systems for industrial and commercial facilities
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, motors (up to 500hp), pumps, and electric pumping units
  • Operate and maintain wastewater treatment and pumping plant equipment
  • Perform physical and chemical tests for treatment plant control
  • Monitor and record data from gauges, meters, and instruments
  • Implement quality control procedures and respond to system malfunctions and emergencies

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of plumbing or pipefitting experience
  • Valid Journeyman license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong math skills (algebraic and geometric computations)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instruments and data
  • Familiarity with safety protocols around high-voltage equipment and moving machinery
  • Must complete OSHA 30 certification within 30 days of hire (company-funded)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and self-motivated
