The Project Manager is directly responsible for the execution of construction/renovation projects and instrumental in the planning developing and execution of hotel renovations. 

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Project Management the Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between hotel operations and general contractors and works closely with the project management team to ensure the construction process is managed to success.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience.
  • Construction and/or renovation experience with a contractor or related vendor a plus.
  • Hotel/restaurant projects a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Project Word Excel Outlook.
  • Familiar with One Source or BirchStreet accounting system processes. 
  • Ability to generate update and maintain weekly project status reports.
  • Well-organized self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Extensive travel required to manage individual projects and to provide support/oversight of assigned project. Minimum travel is estimated at 50%.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead construction projects from inception to completion. 
  • Coordinate projects with Designers Contract Administrators and Purchasing Agents
  • Lead pre-bid and pre-construction meetings
  • Liaison with other areas such as Operations etc.
  • Recommend and solicit bids for general contractor/subcontractors.
  • Assist in evaluating bids to determine opportunities for cost/time savings.
  • Day-to-day management of contractors/subcontractors and vendors involved with assigned projects.
  • Responsible for cost and schedule controls of projects to ensure projects are on time and on budget.
  • On-site construction oversight.
  • Prepare weekly project status report outlines schedules variance to budget potential cost overruns or additional work for senior management. Proactively communicate potential areas that may impact schedule and/or budget.
  • Provide on-going communication of overall scope of work with operations team at the property to assure minimal disruption to guests and to revenue.
