Medical Appeals Specialist

Advanced Dermatology is seeking an experienced Medical Appeals Specialist
Medical Appeals Specialist with a strong knowledge in Appeals and Denials. The Medical Appeals Specialist primary responsibilities include to follow up on outstanding appeals at 30, 45, 60, and 75 intervals. The Medical Appeals Specialist must be proficient in navigating and documenting within internal document system. The Specialist will access Insurance companies' payer portals to ensure appeal has been processed, navigate site for necessary associated updates. Make outbound phone calls to insurance companies to ensure appeal receipt, outcome, and next course of action. Documentation of all activity and updates to ensure timely notification of appeal outcomes and next steps.
Command of medical denials
Strong familiarity with Payer Denials
Comprehensive knowledge of medical appeals Minimum of at least 2-3 years of experience within the revenue cycle
