Wiring Technician Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, motivated individual to join our company as a Wiring Technician. As part of our team, you wire control panels, door devices, and in-home systems. You drill holes to run new wires, install low-voltage wiring through new constructions, assemble and install control panels and switches, and test all systems to ensure safe and full functionality. You must be able to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics, possess comprehensive knowledge of safe wiring techniques, and be physically able to stand, crouch, and lift objects through a standard workday. Prior experience or apprenticeship as an electrician or in a related field is a strong plus.
Wiring Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Drill holes and run new wires through residential properties
- Install switches and control panels
- Use diagnostic equipment to ensure safe and full functionality of installed systems
- Read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics
- Follow instructions of on-site supervisors
Wiring Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Vocational training or certification (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safe wiring practices
- Good problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday
