Tower Technician Job Summary

Our telecommunications company is looking for a Tower Technician to join our field service team. In this role, you will install and repair cables (including coax, hybrid, and fiber optic cables) as well as connectors. You will also work on tower-top equipment, including bracing, masts, RRUS, and antennas. Since you often perform tasks at significant heights, you must ensure safe rigging, hoisting, and landing. This requires fall protection training as well as CPR and first aid certification. We are willing to train applicants who are willing to obtain the necessary certifications shortly after hire.

Tower Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, upgrade, and repair cables and connectors
  • Install, upgrade, and repair tower-top equipment, including bracing, masts, cable supports, RRUS, and antennas
  • Assist with system testing
  • Ensure safe rigging, hoisting, landing, and fastening
  • Complete job logs and field reports
  • Keep track of tool inventory

Tower Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience in telecommunications or construction
  • Fall protection and rescue training
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificate
  • NWSA certification preferred
  • CPR and first aid certifications a plus
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Comfortable working at heights in various weather conditions
