Tow Truck Driver Job Summary
Our company is looking for an experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our fleet. You must have a commercial driver's license (CDL) and some commercial driving or trucking experience. A background in roadside assistance or experience loading and unloading a flatbed truck or tractor-trailer is a plus. Your primary duties will revolve around assisting disabled motorists with services such as changing their tires or transporting them to a nearby garage, or towing cars that have a parking or other illegal infraction. Our ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills to interact with customers and can manage their time well while on the road.
Tow Truck Driver Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to accidents, break-downs, and other roadside incidents
- Stay in contact with motorists when you are en route
- Perform basic repairs or tow their vehicle to a garage
- Safely load cars onto the back of your truck
- Keep your truck clean and in good condition
- Remove illegally parked vehicles
Tow Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications
- A commercial driver's license
- At least one year of commercial driving experience
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Basic mechanical skills
