Teacher/Tutor Job Summary

Our tutoring center is looking for an experienced Teacher/Tutor to join our team. We accept candidates at various professional levels, including recent grads, current teachers, or retirees, but you must be passionate about helping all types of students succeed academically. You also need to be well-versed in one or more core educational subjects, such as math, science, or English. Our greatest need is for mathematics tutors for middle school and high school students, although we also provide reading intervention and SAT/ACT prep. While your primary task is to help students progress through individualized supplemental instruction, our ideal candidate is someone who can inspire kids to be excited about learning.

Teacher/Tutor Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide supplemental instruction to students
  • Develop lesson plans based on the needs of your students
  • Assist with test preparation
  • Prepare instructional materials
  • Evaluate and record student progress

Teacher/Tutor Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Teaching license or certification (current or expired)
  • Classroom teaching experience a plus
  • Experience in curriculum development a plus
  • Strong experience with one or more core educational subjects
  • Communication skills
