Stocker Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated stocker to join our growing organization. In this position, you will ensure all inventory is received, organized, and placed in appropriate locations, as well as constantly monitor inventory and ensure it is visually appealing and stocked. You will unload and unpack items, mark/scan items with correct price or control codes, and stock shelves with received inventory. Some customer service may be involved, as you will help customers place orders as needed.

Stocker Duties and Responsibilities

  • Unload inventory
  • Mark and track price, stock, and control codes
  • Replace damaged items
  • Accept packages and shipments
  • Track sales shipments
  • Order replacement merchandise and products
  • Organize new inventory and ensure it is directed to correct location
  • Stock inventory, items, and products
  • Make sure stock labels are visible and readable
  • Remove and break down empty boxes
  • Prepare inventory for shipment
  • Keep track of inventory arrivals and departures
  • Operate machinery (forklifts, trucks, etc.) and follow all safety procedures
  • Use handheld tracking scanners to track and update inventory
  • Assist customers in placing orders as needed

Stocker Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during work hours
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 25-30 pounds
  • Availability on work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Attention to detail
