Set Up Technician Job Summary

We are looking for a Set-Up Technician to assemble and disassemble our injection molding machines. In this role, you provide technical support and perform preventative maintenance to help us produce plastic parts at a high standard of quality. In addition to cleaning and inspecting mold components before changing them out, you troubleshoot machine issues during production and assist with color changes. This role requires some technical training, so applicants must have 1-2 years of experience working with plastic injection molding. All applicants must be able to pass a drug test.

Set Up Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble injection molding machines
  • Change in-press mold inserts
  • Clean mold components
  • Inspect components for damage
  • Troubleshoot machine issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Assist with color changes as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace

Set Up Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
  • Completion of a technical certificate program or on-the-job training
  • Experience with plastic injection molding (1-2 years)
  • Experience with hand and power tools
  • Forklift experience a plus
