Senior Copywriter Job Summary

We are seeking a talented, experienced writer to join our marketing agency as a Senior Copywriter. As part of our content team, you work with a Senior Art Director to create new business pitches, updated content for existing campaigns, and even new global campaign strategies. Reporting directly to the Executive Creative Director, you may oversee the work of several junior copywriters in developing rich, compelling content for clients. You also create scripts for radio and television spots, and may produce pitches and scripts for online video content. This is a senior-level position, and our ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in a fast-paced copywriting role, in addition to possessing an extensive portfolio of successful work.

Senior Copywriter Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work as a team with a Senior Art Director to produce new business pitches
  • Create scripts for television, radio, and internet video content
  • Supervise junior copywriting teams
  • Provide updated content and direction to existing client campaigns
  • Create detailed pitches for new global campaigns

Senior Copywriter Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in English, communications, or a related field
  • Comprehensive portfolio of successful copywriting work
  • Five years or more experience in a copywriting or content development role
  • Excellent communication and language skills
