Senior Caregiver Job Summary

We are seeking an empathetic, qualified individual to join our caregiving company as a Senior Caregiver. As part of our team, you work with seniors requiring assistance and their families to determine their individual needs and requirements, helping with daily tasks like dressing, bathing, driving to appointments, and exercising. You may also prepare meals, clean, and buy groceries. In some cases, you may communicate with doctors to update them on medical developments, treatment progress, or any other relevant information. Our ideal candidate has prior experience caregiving, working in senior care, and CPR and BLS certification.

Senior Caregiver Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with your senior client and their family to determine client needs
  • Assist with dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene tasks
  • Prepare meals, buy groceries, and transport your client to and from appointments
  • Communicate with doctors and nurses regarding changes to medical condition

Senior Caregiver Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate required; vocational training in senior care and assisted living strongly preferred
  • Prior experience as a caregiver or in an assisted living environment
  • CPR and BLS certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communication skills and empathy
