Safety Manager Job Summary

Our organization is seeking a Safety Manager to assist with risk management. In this position, your primary goal is to reduce the risk of workplace injuries and ensure internal compliance with relevant state, federal, and local safety regulations. To do this, you will perform on-site audits for safety and compliance in addition to investigating on-site accidents or complaints. During these audits, you will also look for opportunities for process improvement. Applicants for this role should have a combination of education and industry experience. OSHA certification or a CSP designation is highly preferred.

Safety Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with relevant state, federal, and local regulations
  • Assist with new employee safety orientation and training
  • Audit workplaces for potential risks and compliance issues
  • Investigate and document on-site accidents or complaints
  • Help develop strategies for process improvement
  • Implement injury-reduction strategies

Safety Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a relevant field preferred
  • Industry experience required
  • Current knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations
  • OSHA certification or CSP designation preferred
  • Bilingual communication skills a plus (English/Spanish)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
