Roofing Foreman Job Summary
We are looking for a Roofing Foreman to join our construction team. Your primary function in this job is to manage a crew of roof mechanics and laborers, ensuring they complete each project safely and on time. You will track and report on their progress to our construction management team and our clients throughout the project. Our ideal candidate has experience installing and repairing low slope roofs using single-ply, modified bitumen, asphalt shingles, and other common materials. For some of our clients, you may also oversee the installation of solar tiles or panels.
Roofing Foreman Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage a crew of roof mechanics and laborers throughout installation, repair, or removal projects
- Supervise equipment use
- Track and report progress
- Ensure project specifications are followed
- Submit employee timesheets
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulations
Roofing Foreman Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- State licensure
- Two or more years of construction experience, preferably in a supervisory role or as a roof mechanic
- Familiar with low slope roof installations and repairs
- OSHA 30-hour card a plus
- Bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish preferred)
- Valid driver's license
- Physical stamina
- Organizational and time management skills
