Retailer Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer customer concerns and questions
- Assist customers by providing product location and information
- Explain how product functions
- Take inventory; stock and restock merchandise
- Advise customers; assist when needed to locate or replace product
- Train and lead sales assistants/managers to ensure a high-quality customer experience
- Solve customer complaint issues
- Present new merchandise in displays; prepare displays/windows/trade shows/etc.
- Advertise new products, sales, or deals
- Create training materials for new employees
- Track sales shipments
- Order replacement merchandise and products
- Assist customers with financial questions or applications
- Balance daily, weekly, and monthly sales
- Balance quarterly and yearly sales for ROI
- Set sales quotas for employees
- Manage all stores/sites/locations
Retailer Requirements and Qualifications
- High school degree required
- Previous experience in sales, retail, merchandising or related field
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
- Extensive knowledge of the brand and product preferred; eagerness to learn a plus
- Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 25 to 30 pounds
- Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
- Strong communication skills; able to approach and interact with customers
