We are seeking a positive, reliable retailer to join our growing organization. In this position, you will track merchandise, ship and confirm orders, stock inventory, and sell products to customers. Organizational skills, product knowledge, and a customer-focused approach are a must.
Retailer Duties and Responsibilities
Answer customer concerns and questions
Assist customers by providing product location and information
Explain how product functions
Take inventory; stock and restock merchandise
Advise customers; assist when needed to locate or replace product
Train and lead sales assistants/managers to ensure a high-quality customer experience
Solve customer complaint issues
Present new merchandise in displays; prepare displays/windows/trade shows/etc.
Advertise new products, sales, or deals
Create training materials for new employees
Track sales shipments
Order replacement merchandise and products
Assist customers with financial questions or applications
Balance daily, weekly, and monthly sales
Balance quarterly and yearly sales for ROI
Set sales quotas for employees
Manage all stores/sites/locations
Retailer Requirements and Qualifications
High school degree required
Previous experience in sales, retail, merchandising or related field
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
Extensive knowledge of the brand and product preferred; eagerness to learn a plus
Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 25 to 30 pounds
Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
Strong communication skills; able to approach and interact with customers
