Retail Store Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join our company as a Retail Store Manager. As part of our retail sales team, you will oversee the daily operations of one of our retail locations, managing staff, setting merchandising and sales goals, resolving customer complaints, and working to increase sales and customer satisfaction wherever possible. This is a senior position, and our ideal candidate has at least five years of retail experience, including experience in a leadership position. You should also have experience with customer relationship management, loss prevention, and store merchandising.

Retail Store Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hire and train new staff, educating them regarding company expectations and brand ambassadorship
  • Create staff schedules and address time-off requests
  • Communicate merchandising and sales goals to staff and report back to regional leadership with suggestions and alterations
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction and positive brand awareness

Retail Store Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • Five years in a retail environment, including time in leadership roles
  • Experience with direct sales, marketing, and recruiting (preferred)
  • Strong organizational and communications skills
  • Prior experience in hospitality (preferred)
