Retail Sales Merchandiser Job Summary
Our company is looking for a Retail Sales Merchandiser to increase the positive retail representation of our products. In this role, you visit retail outlets carrying our products to set up marketing displays and provide information to in-store employees. As part of these responsibilities, you rotate the items and ensure they are front-facing. Since you physically represent our company and build a relationship with retailers, you will assist with the ordering and delivery cycle as well. Applicants for this role should have some retail or visual merchandising experience and a valid driver's license.
Retail Sales Merchandiser Duties and Responsibilities
- Make store visits to rotate product, complete resets, and replenish inventory
- Help manage retail accounts, particularly the ordering and delivery cycle
- Identify new retail distribution opportunities in your territory
- Set up marketing displays for our products in various retail locations
- Build relationships with customers and negotiate for ideal product placement
- Increase in-store knowledge of our products
Retail Sales Merchandiser Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Postsecondary degree in marketing, business, or a related field a plus
- Retail or visual merchandising experience strongly preferred
- Customer service and communication skills
- Physical ability to lift 30-45 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
