Our restaurant is hiring a Restaurant Server to provide excellent customer service and an enjoyable dining experience for our patrons. In this job, you primarily take orders from customers, paying attention to any special requests or dietary restrictions, and then deliver their food and drinks. You also clear the table when customers are finished and process their payment. Our ideal applicant has some restaurant experience or has been a host/hostess, food server, or barista, but we are willing to train the right person. Any experience in hospitality management is a plus.

Restaurant Server Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and answer any questions they have about the menu
  • Explain daily specials and take food and drink orders
  • Put orders in and deliver food and drinks to customers
  • Process checks and payments
  • Help clean the table for the next customer
  • Complete side work as needed

Restaurant Server Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Experience in bartending, hospitality, or as a host/hostess, food server, or barista (preferred)
  • Customer service, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to memorize and recall menu items
  • Physical stamina to work on your feet throughout your shift
