Photographer Job Summary

We are seeking a creative, hardworking, and driven Photographer to join our team. You will play a key role in the visual storytelling and branding of our company. The type of pictures you take will depend on what our clients ask for, but you will collaborate with a variety of creative staff in both studio and natural settings. Once you’ve captured the pictures we need, you will utilize editing equipment and software to enhance the photographs for our customers.

Photographer Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take photographs for weddings, graduations, and other event settings
  • Shoot corporate images to be used for websites and other promotional material
  • Photograph a variety of locations and subjects, including landscapes, aerial, underwater, fashion, architecture, wildlife, sports, action, pets, real estate, vehicles, science, medicine, travel, and food
  • Scouts locations and select models when necessary
  • Collaborate with the art director and client to ensure their need for the project is being fulfilled
  • Retouch photos with editing equipment or communicate suggestions to a professional retoucher

Photographer Requirements and Qualifications

  • Substantial portfolio of past work
  • Expert skills in operating cameras and must stay up-to-date with changes in technology
  • Possessing a keen eye for when and where to set up and take pictures
  • Able to set up lights and position yourself to get the best possible shots
  • Proficient with photo-editing software
