Pediatrician Duties and Responsibilities

- Administering treatments, medications, therapies, and vaccinations to treat illness, injuries, and disorders
- Treating children who suffer from minor injuries, chronic and acute health problems, and psychological and physiological growth and development concerns
- Counseling and guiding children and their parents or guardians concerning hygiene, diet, and disease prevention
Pediatrician Requirements and Qualifications
- Four years of undergrad studies and a biology degree or a pre-med degree
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy
- One year pediatric internship
- Two-year residency program
- Board certification and licensed
- Education in a pediatric sub-specialty is a plus
