Nurse Manager Job Summary

Our healthcare organization is seeking a Nurse Manager to help us uphold our high standard of patient care. In this role, you will coordinate and evaluate nursing staff, as well as collaborate with other managers to develop policies and support an efficient utilization of space, supplies, and equipment. Applicants for this position must have a bachelor's or master's degree in nursing, a valid RN license in this state, and clinical nursing experience. Board certification (or eligibility) in nursing leadership is also a major plus.

Nurse Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and evaluate nursing staff
  • Uphold a high standard of patient care
  • Develop policies or procedures to improve patient care
  • Support efficient utilization of space, supplies, and equipment
  • Assist with payroll and budgeting
  • Assist with other administrative or clinical tasks as needed

Nurse Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (master's degree a plus)
  • Valid RN license
  • Board certification in nursing leadership (or eligibility for board certification) a plus
  • Clinical nursing experience
  • BLS certification
  • Analytical, communication, and organizational skills
