Ndt Job Summary

A leading company in Nondestructive Testing (NDT) is seeking a skilled NDT Level II technician to support our diverse operations working within the oil and gas, petrochemical, and construction industries. In this role, you will perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations to determine acceptance or rejection, while closely adhering to written instructions. The Level II technician must be able to interpret welds created from a variety of processes, such as ASME, API, and AWS codes. You must also accurately record results and train assistants or other entry-level technicians.

Ndt Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, and use nondestructive testing equipment
  • Perform radiographic testing to confirm quality or identify defects
  • Establish processes to properly examine objects under inspection in accordance with safety regulations, applicable specifications, and standards
  • Interpret radiographs and report test results
  • Control radiation area and complete daily radiation reports
  • Train assistants or entry-level technicians
  • Participate in safety programs as required

Ndt Requirements and Qualifications

  • An associate degree in nondestructive testing or a Certified Level II UT Thickness MT PT
  • Related technical experience in NDT methods and processes
  • An understanding of how to operate NDT equipment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to follow directions
