Lighting Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a Lighting Technician to join our company of dedicated lighting professionals. As part of our team, you will coordinate and implement the installation of lighting projects, ensuring both worksite safety and customer satisfaction. Following the scope of work for a given project, you schedule installations and maintenance, procure materials and oversee labor and onsite finances. You should have several years of prior experience with electrical lightning, wiring, scaffolding, high voltage circuitry, and power tools. This position may require some regional travel to client sites.

Lighting Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install lamps, fixtures, and ballasts according to project scope and specifications
  • Direct crews and installers to ensure workplace safety and efficiency
  • Communicate with clients throughout projects to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Travel to client work sites and produce preparatory reports and work scope projections

Lighting Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Associate degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Significant professional experience as a lighting installer or technician
  • Strong working knowledge of ballasts, drivers, lamps, and high voltage wiring systems
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and leadership skills
