Legal Receptionist Job Summary

Our law office is seeking a friendly and organized Legal Receptionist to manage our front desk. In this role, you will answer and redirect phone calls when necessary, greet clients and other visitors at the office when they arrive, schedule client appointments, and take accurate messages for attorneys and other staff. On a daily basis, you will also sort and distribute mail, organize client files, and assist lawyers with other administrative duties. Legal experience is a plus but not required.

Legal Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and emails
  • Respond to or forward client questions to the appropriate department
  • Greet clients and visitors in a friendly manner and determine the reason for their visit
  • Contact clients to schedule appointments with attorneys and other staff
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Organize files
  • Manage office supplies and order more when necessary

Legal Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of administrative support experience
  • Legal experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
