Laundry Attendant Job Summary

We are seeking a hardworking, motivated individual to join our company as a Laundry Attendant. As part of our team, you will assist customers in the laundromat throughout your shift, making change and selling detergent, stain removers, and dryer sheets. You will ensure the safe and appropriate use of machines, logging any malfunctioning or nonoperative machines for later maintenance. For customers purchasing individual laundry service, you will weigh their orders, separate unlike items, and charge accordingly. Prior cleaning or hospitality experience is a definite plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.

Laundry Attendant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend to laundry machines and customers, ensuring safe and appropriate use of all machines
  • Perform routine service or minor repairs to malfunctioning machines
  • Mark machines that are out-of-order and log for repairs as necessary
  • Sell detergent and other cleaning goods to customers
  • Weigh and separate laundry for clients purchasing individual laundry services

Laundry Attendant Requirements and Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality, laundry, or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to lift heavy bags of laundry, stand, and remain active throughout a normal shift
  • Friendly, personable demeanor and professional appearance
  • Basic cash handling skills
  • Bilingual skills a plus
