Journeyman Plumber Job Summary
We are looking for a licensed Journeyman Plumber to assist with commercial plumbing projects. In this role, you will perform preventative maintenance as well as installing systems according to blueprints or other technical documents. You also oversee apprentice plumbers who have not achieved their journeyman status as they clear blockages and make minor repairs. All employees must follow OSHA regulations and maintain a clean workspace.
Journeyman Plumber Duties and Responsibilities
- Install and repair plumbing and drainage systems
- Locate and repair leaks in piping
- Install or replace fixtures
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Clear drain blockages
- Oversee apprentices on-site
- Document issues and repairs
- Follow OSHA regulations
Journeyman Plumber Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Completion of technical training through a trade school or apprenticeship
- State licensure
- Commercial plumbing experience preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Blueprint reading skills
- Physical stamina
