Ice Cream Scooper Job Summary

Our shop is seeking an upbeat person to join our team as an Ice Cream Scooper! In this role, you will greet customers and provide them with samples of the delicious ice cream flavors we offer. After giving samples, you will fill orders by scooping ice cream into our waffle cones and covering them in whichever toppings our customers request. While it is essential to ensure our flavors and toppings are well-stocked in display cases, you may also help stock other items, such as cones, bowls, spoons, and napkins. Our ideal candidate is someone who can present our frozen treats to each and every customer with a friendly attitude!

Ice Cream Scooper Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet shop customers
  • Provide samples
  • Scoop ice cream and toppings to fill customer orders
  • Assist on the register
  • Restock ice cream flavors in display tubs
  • Restock bowls, cones, and toppings behind the counter
  • Restock napkins and spoons for customers
  • Wipe down surfaces in between customers
  • Assist with other tasks as needed

Ice Cream Scooper Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate a plus
  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Current food handler's card preferred
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Prior cashier experience a plus
  • Customer service skills
