Housekeeping Aide Job Summary
Our healthcare center is looking for a Housekeeping Aide to keep our facility clean and safe for our patients. In this role, you perform cleaning tasks on a predetermined schedule. These tasks include sanitizing door handles and common surfaces, emptying trash bins, and changing bed linens. You also regularly clean the windows in the patients' rooms. Although experience is not necessarily required, we highly prefer applicants who have at least six months of housekeeping or cleaning experience.
Housekeeping Aide Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks on a predetermined schedule
- Sweep and mop floors, placing caution signs as needed
- Wipe down and sanitize door handles and other surfaces that are commonly used
- Assist with bathroom cleaning and sanitation
- Clean windows in individual rooms and common areas
- Empty trash bins
- Change bed linens
- Report any maintenance or repair issues
Housekeeping Aide Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate (a plus)
- Some housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Familiarity with common cleaning products and equipment
- Ability to read and understand instructions in English (bilingual a plus)
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks
